Subaru Parts To Upgrade Before Winter Arrives

October 5th, 2021 by

Feel that chill in the air? It won’t be long now before 90-degree days will be a distant memory and we’ll be dealing with sleet and snow.

While things are still relatively warm, now is a good time to get your Subaru ready for winter. You can do just that by upgrading these Subaru parts here at our service center.

Tires

The all-season tires you have on your car right now may be fine for most seasons, but not all, regardless of their name. When roads become covered in ice, you’ll want the most traction you can get, which is why you should consider putting winter tires on your vehicle.

Windshield Wipers

Is the rubber starting to peel off your wipers? Don’t wait until you really need them to get a new pair. Because your wipers work hard to clear off snow and freezing rain, they have to be in great condition. While you’re at it, make sure that your wiper fluid reservoir is full as well.

Battery

The colder it gets, the harder it can be for your battery to supply the power needed to get your engine started. This is especially true for older batteries, so if yours is getting up there, consider replacing it before conditions get too cold.

Heated Seats

Last winter, you may remember that whenever you got into your Subaru car on a particularly frosty morning, it felt like you were sitting on an ice block. To prevent that from happening again this year, think about upgrading your cabin with heated seats.

Whatever you need to prepare your car for winter, you can find it in our parts center at Serra Subaru Champaign. If you need something added to your vehicle, our service center will give you an expert installation.
