Sneak Peek: Subaru Outback Infotainment Update

The Subaru Outback infotainment update has been released, giving owners of recent Subaru Outback models an opportunity to upgrade their touchscreen and infotainment interface. With bigger buttons and easier controls, plus a shortcut for activating AVH, this new update makes your Subaru vehicle even easier to use.
Touchscreen Update
With the new infotainment update for the 2020, 2021, and 2022 Subaru Outback model years, your touchscreen just got even easier to use. The update, which also applies to Subaru Legacy models from 2020, 2021, and 2022, makes it easier to access heating and air conditioning controls. It also includes a one-touch control for heated seats.
In addition, it adds a shortcut for AVH, or Auto Vehicle Hold. AVH keeps your car in place on hills and other steep inclines, whether you’ve parked and forgotten to engage the parking brake or take your foot off the gas pedal while driving. When you press the pedal again, AVH disengages, making it one more way to stay safe on the road.
2024 Subaru Outback Infotainment Features
The new infotainment update adds a number of features to older models, but some features included in the newest model are still not available. The 2024 Subaru Outback features the SUBARU STARLINK® multimedia system, which adds available wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ integration. Apps, features, and settings are even easier to access, thanks to the 11.6-inch high-resolution touchscreen. With USB-C charging ports available throughout the cabin, it’s easy for everyone to stay connected in this model.
