Base

As its name implies, this is the least expensive trim level of the Subaru Ascent, but it still offers plenty of useful features like Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive with X-MODE® and a suite of EyeSight® driver assistance technologies. Smartphone integration features, including Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™.

This trim level offers three rows of seating and room for up to eight people, but some models will only offer room for seven.

Premium

This trim level makes the ride a bit more luxurious with the addition of heated seats and technology features like a Wi-Fi hotspot. The Premium trim can also tow up to 5,000 pounds when properly equipped.

Drivers can also choose between different second-row seating arrangements on this trim level, so the Premium can seat seven or eight.

Onyx Edition

This stylish take on the 2023 Subaru Ascent comes equipped with black alloy wheels and black accents, but the upgrades aren’t just cosmetic. The Onyx Edition also offers extra features like Reverse Automatic Braking and a power rear gate. This trim level seats up to seven.

Limited

This luxurious trim level adds a heating function to the second-row seats, leather trim for the upholstery, and a DriverFocus® system that can actually tell when a driver is getting drowsy or not paying enough attention to the road. It’s available with seating for seven or eight.

Premium

This trim level sits at the top of the heap with features like a Nappa leather-trimmed upholstery, a panoramic power moonroof, and a premium sound system from Harmon Kardon®. It seats up to seven people.
