Power and Performance

The Subaru Solterra is powered by two electric motors and a 72.8-kWh lithium-ion battery. Together, they produce 215 horsepower and 249 lb-ft of torque. A one-speed automatic transmission is standard, as is all-wheel drive.

This Subaru SUV has very responsive handling, and its suspension always ensures a smooth ride. And as you’d expect from an electric vehicle, its fuel economy is impressive: 114 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent) on the highway and 94 MPGe in the city.

Driving Range and Charging Time

You’ll be able to travel up to 220 miles when the battery is fully charged. With a 240-volt outlet or a Level 2 charger, you can get the battery completely charged up in about nine hours. With DC Fast Charging, you increase your SUV’s charge up to 80 percent in less than an hour.

Both rows in the Subaru Solterra are roomy, and up to five people will fit nicely. Cloth upholstery is standard, and available upgrades include synthetic leather-trimmed upholstery, heated rear seats, and a heated steering wheel. As for cargo space, this new Subaru vehicle offers 27.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 56.9 cubic feet when they are down.

Every model comes with a user-friendly infotainment system that includes an eight-inch touchscreen, along with wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, Bluetooth, and five USB ports. You can also spring for extras like wireless device charging, navigation, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
